Based on the original Strike-Guard fishing accessory design Pat 3654722 from 1970.
3D Design Technology LLC has used cutting edge Engineering techniques to reverse engineer the original design identically.  This old and no longer
commercially
available product is able to be re-created using state of the art industrial production 3D Printing / Additive Manufacturing equipment with dimensional
accuracy and material properties
as good or better than the original manufacturing process.
Fishing with multiple poles?  Use Strike-Defender to help identify when a fish is on.  Once the fish takes the bait the line will pull out of Strike Defender with an audible click.
Loose a pole overboard or into the water?  Strike-Defender will keep your pole where you leave it by letting the fish take the line with no drag until you get to the pole to real it in.
Sick of loosing older design bite indicators falling into the water?  Strike-Defender has been improved to include a through hole for ease of securely attaching the unit to the pole with a cable tie, string, or wire.  No more wasting money on lost products.
Strike-Defender works by allowing the bail to remain open while precisely controlling the length of line out and the amount of force a fish must apply before they get the bait.
This provides the ability to:
Carefully control the depth you are fishing at
Allow the fish to freely take the bait and feel no resistance after the line has pulled out of Strike-Defender which can cause the fish to not swallow the bait
Protect the pole from being pulled overboard or into the water from an aggressive fish
Fish with multiple poles at the same time while listening for the audible click that signals a bite to increase the chance of hooking the big one!
Once the fish has taken the bait and Strike-Defender automatically releases the line its business as usual, close the bail, set your hook, and bring it in!
Strike-Defender is designed to minimize one of fishermen's major problems, absence of slack on the bail when the reel is closed.  Once the fish bites and feels the pull of the line its natural response is to spit out the bait and you loose the fish.  However, with Strike-Defender the fish is able to take the bait free from the pull of the line until you are ready to set the hook which greatly reduces the chance of loosing a fish that has spit out the hook.
Strike-Defender is a mechanical bite indicator and therefore
does not require batteries
like other options on the market today.
Strike-Defender uses the same dual spring design based off of the original Strike-Guard that allows both light precise pressure for smaller fish all the way up to heavy pressure for larger fish or trolling applications.
Strike-Defender is made in the USA from top quality materials and processes including stainless steel ball bearings and corrosion resistant springs.
Some current competitors products may be less expensive however they may only offer a single spring design that is not capable of the same pressure range or precision with lower quality materials.  Strike-Defender delivers the same use range and quality expected from the original design.
